Stockghyll Force

We decided a drive into the Lakes was long overdue having been away and then the busy last couple of weeks.  

Dull and grey gave way to spots of rain but it didn't deter.  First stop was coffee at Windermere Jetty and then on to Ambleside to run a few errands and do some shopping.

From the town we walked up to the Force Cafe which we have wanted to visit for a long time and has good reviews.  It didn't disappoint.  Lovely lunch followed by the largest scone I have seen (we did share it!).  From here we walked down through the woods pausing here for a blip and then returned to the town.
