Tuesday: Early July 4th

The US Embassy held their July 4th party today so that meant a trip to Spanish Lookout for me.  Last year, it was a bit more exotic as it was held on San Pedro. Spanish Lookout is actually a dry community, as it’s where the Mennonites are based, but they were able to serve alcohol by having it just outside the town boundary.

Once again, I’ve been disenfranchised.  My postal vote arrived today - there is clearly no way I can get it back for Thursday.  I will just have to vote in my mind - it wouldn’t be the first time.
