The sun wouldn't come out to play today, so no chance of getting a WidWed 'shadow' image.
Amazingly, in 1928, the Atlantic ocean was crossed in 58 days in a kayak.
Even more amazingly in 1938, Oscar Speck set off in his kayak along the Danube in Germany to reach Australia, seven and a half years later. He covered 48,280 kms. There was also the small matter of a world war going on.
I once did a bit of the Trent and Mersey canal.
