Cheetah Lodge

Much as I didn’t want to drive back to Birmingham after Monday’s journey, we’d had a stay at a lodge at West Midland Safari Park booked for over a year - so back down the M6 it was. I picked the cheetah lodge as they’re our favourite animal (they’re like big spotty greyhounds really…..). I wasn’t sure what to expect but wow! We arrived to the two cheetahs sunbathing right outside the picture windows, and they’ve entertained us for hours - they like to appear from nowhere and stare intently at us - especially when we were eating dinner.

It really is the most bizarre thing - what an amazing experience.

We also get to wander at leisure around the closed park - within reason of course - which feels a bit Scooby Doo.

They main Blip is a very posey cheetah - see extras for some others. I’m not sure how I will sleep with them prowling around out there….
