A day of fixing things for me, and with the flat light, not much chance of finding shadows for this week's Wide Wednesday - but at least this is wide angle!

These Hollyhocks grow under the trees at the end of our front garden and are always a good welcome home when we return.

Mark Cavendish - what a sportsman!  Just about everyone in the race wanted to congratulate him on winning his 35th Tour de France stage and setting a new record for stage wins.  He was embracing all of his team people with a "We did it" no mention of I.
On the BBC news/sport websites the comments are overwhelmingly positive, one in particular asks - can I vote for him tomorrow?

Our postal votes are filled in and ready to go to the polling station tomorrow - it might be safe to watch the news soon!
Some poor unfortunate will be choosing a cabinet and trying to run the country!
