Bonfire

The local village has built its bonfire in preparation for the 12th July celebrations. It appears to have about 60 layers of wooden pallets, interspaced with 18 layers of lorry tyres. I guess that's about 40 ft in height.
The remains of an earlier attempted pile which collapsed can be seen to one side. Bit like the early attempts by the Egyptians building the pyramids, as they didn't quite stand up right on first attempts.
The fire will be lit at midnight from the top, as lighting it from the bottom will cause the pyre to collapse dangerously.
Some fool, no doubt fortified with drink, will have to climb to the top to set the blaze.
