Changing my attitude
This is a photo of the hand carved Buddha statue in the corner of my garden. I love this statue for its elegance and for the amount of craftsmanship that went into making it. But the reason for me blipping a photograph of it is because it made me think about the Horizon program I watched on BBC2 last night.
In the program, Michael Mosely was investigating if it was possible to change your personality and attitude from 'glass half empty' into 'glass half full' simply by using a couple of fairly straightforward techniques. I admit to being a fairly negative person and I worry about all the things that might go wrong. I know it is such a waste of time but yet, I can't seem to stop myself.
After watching the program and seeing the commonsense arguments that he puts forward I am determined to start meditating on a daily basis, even if only for 5-10 minutes. I would love to be able to be able to stress less and be more positive about things.
So my photo and blip today is to record and make public my commitment towards making a small but hopefully positive change to my life.
