Melancholy and Nostalgia and a Sheep

Someone once said to me "beware of being seduced by melancholy and nostalgia".

I often feel melancholic and nostalgic; both are my friends.

Melancholy and nostalgia are with me today, more so because it is my birthday.

On my birthday, I celebrate and give thanks for my life. On my birthday, I reflect on my past and think about my Mother and my Father all those years ago when I was born and I wonder about their lives.

Birthdays are for celebration and for reflection.
