Rupert Bear reclining
On a basement doorstep
An errands day; picked up two of the six reframed maps (the two Pont maps, the East part and the West part of Fife, from Blaeu Atlas of Scotland, 1654 ) The framer found the extensive text in French on the reverse; the NLS references have it conveniently translated.
Excerpt "There are in addition towns not to be neglected: Crail in the extreme eastern angle, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie, Leven, Wemyss, Dysart, Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn, Burntisland, from where there is a daily crossing to Leith, Aberdour, Inverkeithing (formerly a flourishing market), Dunfermline: all these towns are on the Firth of Forth, except Dunfermline, which is a few miles from it."
Also walked down to Screwfix for seal tape (two doors done, one still to do).
Windy, showery, evening sunshine
