Grumpy Old Man

Cross in a box

Another wet and windy day. We debated whether to walk or drive down to the Rockfield Centre to vote this morning. Driving might be necessary if it was still raining, but the car park would probably be full. Walking would be good if it was dry!

The rain went off later in the morning and so we decided to walk. I was hoping to take a picture in the Polling Place, but a sign made it abundantly clear that this was not on! So I had to be content with a picture out in the corridor - my Blip today!

After placing our crosses in the boxes of our choice we thought we should have lunch here, so popped into the adjacent café - my extra today.

We chatted with friends for a while then placed our orders at the counter. Service wasn't very good - we had to wait ages - though the soup was fine, even though Mrs M's wasn't very hot!

Bucketing down outside, though after a while it eased off and we got within 100 yards of home before it began again. Lucky!

Yet again, I'd hoped to go to Dunollie to finish the labelling, but it's obviously going to be a wet afternoon, so it looks like an indoor one!

Quote of the Day: '"Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters." - Abraham Lincoln.
