What a stunner!

A Green Hairstreak
15deg c,  NWN wind, felt more like winter than Summer on this mornings walkabout. Looks like a great blackberrying harvest ahead if we get some rain to plump up the fruits.
All my hard work to protect my gooseberry bushes was not enough to stop a rogue hen Blackbird from finding a way in. Took me ages to shoo her out again before I reinforced my reinforcements. It was cold up on the plot too, & I was'nt prepared for it. I was far to optimistic wearing  thin cotton summer top & shorts.
I reported s none functioning water trough to the DWT on the 16th May, we are now in July and still has'nt been fixed. There are cattle grazing on this section of heath who should have access to fresh water, not the skanky water that is all that's left in the ponds.
Loving the tennis from Wimbledon. Jacob Fearnley, a British wildcard, played a fantastic match against Djokovic this afternoon.
