A Donkey Greeting!

Walking home on Monday (after accompanying Mrs Catspaw to her work), I at last discovered the current whereabouts of the Pony and Donkey that live in the fields off Markstakes Lane in Chailey. However, on that occasion, the Donkey started braying which I took as a sign of distress and so I moved quickly on.

Passing the same spot today, the Donkey again brayed a couple of times, but then came over to the fence to see me - making me wonder if I had misinterpreted its braying a few days ago. In any case, both the Donkey and the Pony seemed more than happy for me to scrubble their foreheads this morning before I headed for home.
