One Street - Targe

I was out this morning doing a bit of research for a presentation that I have to do on Monday. After lunch I went out for a cycle on One Street. I went as far as Preston Brook before turning around and heading home.

On the way back I stopped to watch a heron just ahead of me on the towpath. Another cyclist had done the same thing on the other side of the bird. When the heron flew off we cycled towards one another. He was beaming and told me that this was the first heron that he had seen. He had set himself a challenge and had cycled all the way on the canal from the centre of Manchester and wanted to get to the end of the canal. He had about another mile to go to reach the end of the canal. Then of course he still had the 40 miles home ahead of him.

He was more than happy to be photographed on One Street.
