Saving the bridge on the River Ythan

This WW2 pillbox was built around 1940 in order to protect the bridge across the river Ythan. Thankfully it was never put to the test.
Back then the Germans were the enemy and the Russians our allies. Now the roles are reversed. Such a huge change in one human life time.
