Forth & Clyde Canal

A 22km dawdle along the canal today, 11km of it into a stiff breeze. The canal was quiet and soothing, as it usually is. Used the Falcon 6 speed hybrid (extra) 'the little fella', which doesn't go so fast, and uses up more energy, but that's fine every once in a while, especially on a towpath. 
The SNP were decimated in the election yesterday, but they still haven't got the message, i.e. that they need to clean out their stable, with widespread replacement of personnel to introduce some competency. Still, I guess turkeys don't often vote for Xmas, but there are a lot less of them to vote for anything now. Not before time.
I fear the new Labour Govt are heading down the same 'progressive' self-id route that destroyed Sturgeon, so no great hope of advancement there.
Politics in the UK is in a ditch.
