FLOWER FRIDAY

My garden is finally starting to show flowers and the local bees are starting to take notice.  They especially like the Purple Cone Flowers (Echinacea purpurea).

Being a member of the Composit Family and is one of the common asters in North America. The flowerhead consists of both disk (center) and ray (the periphery) flowers.  Each one is a separate flower all together on one head.
