Gently down the stream

Zoning out

Today was the first day of the 50th anniversary of Winchester's Hat Fair.  A parade was advertised so I took the camera down to the High Street.  Unfortunately, it's no longer the surprising, anarchic event it used to be and the parade was all primary school kids in costumes they're made in art class.  Not quite what I was hoping for.  (Truthfully, after last night, you'd have thought a bit of politics might have crept into it, wouldn't you? ;))

So my shot is not of that, but of this guy sitting on a bench in the Broadway.  He was wearing saffron robes so I assume he was a Buddhist monk.  I took this shot from the other side of the road, so I can't tell you if he was snoring (haha!) but seriously I don't think he was resting, just zoning out.

Okay, that's me.  I'l try for some proper Hat Fair pics tomorrow.  Meanwhile, have a great Friday night and a good start to the weekend  xx
