Tony Blair…the previous Labour Prime Minister

Quite a coincidence that today I went to the Kew Archives to see the current exhibition, Great Escapes…about prisoners who were interned and escaped or attempted to in WW2. Also still on display upstairs is a Cabinet Office table with a seat for each of the 20 prime ministers of the 20th Century. This was set up in 2022 and I have seen it/ blipped part of it before. Tony Blair was the last Prime Minister in the 20C and was in office for over 10 years following on from John Major. I wonder how long Keir Starmer will be PM?! See extra for a view of the whole table…at each seat there is an artefact related to that person eg for Margaret Thatcher a blue jacket, and also a document about something significant they did when in office. Tony Blair’s was the 1998 agreement between the British and Irish governments, often referred to as the Good Friday agreement as that is the day it was signed.

We had lots of much needed rain overnight and some on and off all day. It was only 15C this morning, not like July should be.
It’s good that some games at Wimbledon can still go ahead under the roof….so I am now watching as it is raining hard so not wanting to take the dog for a walk!
