A day of 5 things, all good

- I voted - I’ve never not voted since I was 18.  It feels tremendously important.
- I looked after my neighbours 3 year old for a while so they could go to a meeting at his pre-school. We watched a lovely TV programme called Creature Cases.  Anyone with little ones know this? Wonderful programme. We also read some books.
- I went to my first spinal Pilates class, having at last got to the top of the waiting list for a space. It was quite difficult, but I enjoyed it, and felt so pleased that I was able to do most of it.
- I finished my book - Death Comes to Pemberley by PD James which has been great fun. The key point is my eyes have been weird for a few years and I find it quite difficult to go smoothly from left to right along each line.  The neurologist says I can teach myself to read normally again, and it is improving:)
- And lastly I watched the exit poll and the few counts that came in before midnight.  Got very interesting. Set my alarm to get up again at 2.30 to watch peak results time in the night.

This lovely white shrub is in a nearby front garden, it’s just exploded into flower.  I was admiring it on my way back from the polling station.
