Castle Sypesteyn

I went to castle Sypesteyn in Loosdrecht today. An interesting visit. I joined a 75 minutes tour of the house.  Visited the gardens on my own.  Took me two hours.  The house and gardens look old but they're not. The building of the house started around 1890 and was finished in 1924. The bricks, gates, window sills and everything else was found elsewhere in the Netherlands from properties that were torn down or renovated and not in need of the stuff. Inside the owner assembled all old stuff as well like swords and spears, paintings and China porcelain. It really has a medieval feel to it.
