Mellow Yellow

Suffering from lack of sleep this evening having spent a large amount of the night watching the Election results. Whilst the result was never in doubt there were still some significant surprise results.

Have always been a fan of moving away from a ‘first past the post’ electoral system and the results demonstrated to me why the process needs to change. Labour approximately 23.4k votes for a seat, Conservatives 56.3k votes per seat,  Lib Dems 49.2k votes per seat , Greens 475k votes per seat  and Reform 1m votes per seat. Labour’s incredible majority achieved by a very small percentage votes swing and less than 40% of the vote.

Mrs C is now ready for Roman Museum 20th Birthday Open Day tomorrow. She has worked hard over the last two years to prepare for this. I get to take phots tomorrow so let’s hope I do not let her down. Then we have England to watch.

Have a good weekend.
