Eintrachtsbrunnen (Unity Fountain)

…was erected in 1930, “an admonition from a bleak time”. After the dictated peace by the Treaty of Versailles of 1919, the hyperinflation of 1923, the world economy crisis of 1929, and increasing political violence, the Germans were longing for unity and peace. (History didn’t grant it soon.)

In the extra is the nearby Jews’ Fountain of 1837, now in a sad condition, and awaiting its renovation as soon as the council and the authority for historic sites will manage to come to an agreement on the procedure—and the costs. This fountain was named after its location outside the town, exactly as far away as faithful Jews were allowed to walk on a Sabbat.
