Hadeda Ibis (Bostrychia hagedash)

Our neighbor's son brought this seriously injured beauty to us today, in the hope that Charmaine will be able to nurse him back to perfection like she usually does with injured and stray birds. I must admit, we are used to looking after much, much smaller birds! ;-)

This one was just too seriously hurt! He has a wound under his other wing, even his lungs are visible! Ronnie and Anrie rather took her to the Bird Park close to our school, the owners are really geared to care of him and they have an extraordinary success rate with rescuing sick birds. We will follow up on him from time to time, we know Natleigh (the owner) well and she will keep us posted.
