Weekend Loading

Another warm and breezy summer day. It looks like some much needed rain will arrive tomorrow • After completing a few necessary outdoor chores we took a ride to the post office, then on to the boat landing. Most parking slots were filled with boat trailers but we lucked out and found an open one • MrsP spotted an eagle, a cormorant for me, then we watched an eastern king bird make several acrobatic insect captures midair. On our way home we stopped by the cobbosseecontee stream which was unusually low. The exposed rocks became stepping stones for a common grackle who jumped from one to the other catching insects, we assumed. He also enjoyed a couple of long cooling bathing sessions • At home this American Painted Lady was mauling the butterfly bush recently purchased :) • Peace & Love
