Look Up

We were up by 5:30. Not sure where the time went but we didn’t leave until 9:00. We packed five coolers, all but one were small, for special purposes. Hubby took everything to the truck/camper while I cleaned the kitchen. My big mistake was thinking there were still plenty of blueberries to pick. It takes awhile to remove the protective mesh covers and put them back on. There were probably only 20 ripe berries on the three bushes. While we were outside, I decided to share these tiger lilies. Surprisingly, the deer did not eat all of the blooms. We ate, showered and got on the road. It was smooth driving with not much traffic. We stopped for gas, last minute groceries and to get chicken bowls from Chipotle for lunch. I tried to read your journals in between unstoppable naps. We arrived around 2:00. The shorter route was inaccessible due to a bridge repair. I was worried about our campsite because it looked small in the on line map. Actually, I think it is one of the best in the park. We finally got everything set up around 4:45. We had another heat advisory day. Temps got up to 98°F with a higher heat index. We took our time so we didn’t get overheated. And a lot of my time was spent working on inside duties in the air conditioned camper. As soon as this is published, we will eat dinner and relax the rest of the evening. I hope you are able to stay comfortable with your weather, be it hot or cold. Thanks for stopping by.
