Dave the Book

I ask forgiveness in advance for posting a Silverstone photo tomorrow. I took over 4,000 photos and only have my iPhone and no WiFi. And time isn’t on my side.

A special Blip shout out to one time Blipper https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3049313286022498778 Dave the Book who drove us to Silverstone and has been amazing. He sat in a comfy deckchair in the Wellington Enclosure during FP2 while I watched the F1 cars. He was happy if I was happy. He loved this Alpine police car on the Bike Safe stand. He found out he can also sign up for a course at the same time as me.

A huge thank you to someone who had a huge impact on both Mr T and I. Neither of us will ever forget the smile on David’s face when we lifted him out under the veranda.

We had a great day and decided not to stay for the evening party. It had been dry all day but rained all the end of FP2 so we left for our hotel. Watched the first Euro quarter final and went to a lovely Italian restaurant and came back and watched the end of the second quarter final.

I was last at Silverstone in 2012 with Mr T so this was the first time cheering Lando who was fastest in both sessions. Thank you Dave the Book for supporting me to do something that maybe I could have done on my own but probably wouldn’t. Heard a song this evening. I will try to find the title tomorrow - Memories - but it’s by Maroon 5 and I think it’s called here’s to the ones we love. Always makes me think of David and brings tears to my eyes. I miss him so very much.
