This evening I found a kingfisher's nest - in fact it is the nest that I thought was the kingfisher's nest before, but then disregarded this as I didn't see them around this area for quite a time - but now I know it is!

A very hot day, which drove most of the birds away and the deer out of the fields and into the cool of the forest.

I had some shots of the kingfisher, but so drastically cropped that they looked pretty poor - I'll be back!
