Light at the end of the tunnel
Apologies for the uninsipred blip, but it's been another day of DIYing in the kitchen, and, as usual, I've had no real opportunity to blip.
Earlier in the week, we managed to get the main bit of kitchen worktop fitted, cutting the holes for the sink and hob and attaching everything up so that it was all usable and the like. We still had two other bits of worktop to fit, so getting those fitted was the priority for today.
One of the bits was fine - just slotted in to place and was attached to the cupboards underneath no problem. The second one was a bit more problematic, as it required a few cuts to accomodate our internal drain pipe (still no idea why it's inside the house rather than outside), and some pipework to do with the new boiler.
My brother-in-law (the electrician) also stopped by to do the necessary wiring required to fit our new lights for underneath the wall cabinets, as shown above.
All the worktops are firmly in place now, meaning that, with the exception of a handful of little jobs, the only major tasks left to do are the wallpapering and tiling. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Also back-blipped for yesterday.
