So woke up to a new government which does not give me the foreboding that change normally does.
Fun fact: Helen Fielding based the character of Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones Diary on Keir Starmer. So perhaps there’s hope for us yet, after all he did get Bridget out of a Thai jail, maybe he can get us all out of this cottonpicking mess.
In other news, my kids are all away and how strange it feels. R in Croatia, H in Tenerife ( his girlfriends mum had a windfall and took them all all inclusive five star plus for a week, lucky lad) and F has arrived in Les Gets to watch the downhill MTB.
Aimless without them so trotted off to La Bruschetta for a beautiful taste of Italy.
