The square on which the Bronze Horseman (the statue of Peter the Great) stands is a favourite place for wedding parties to be photographed. I saw 4 brides at he same time.

The world´s biggest sailing event the Volvo Ocean Race 08-09 arrived in St Petersburg. The fleet paraded down the River Neva for the lag 10 price giving and to the overall finish line. Lots of program on the Peter and Paul Fortress on its beach. And of course it began to rain hard. Five days has been sunny weather before that. The winner was the Ericsson 4 boat wihth skepper Torben Grael the Brasilian.
