Monet in York
Back blipping after a few days away in York staying with my parents. It’s been a good change of scenery for me, and great to be a little more of a tourist than on my usual family focused visits.
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the National Gallery, various artworks are on display around the country. Monet’s water lilies are at York Art Gallery, and there’s some beautiful wildflower planting in the garden. I thought it was a good exhibition too.
As is so common, you exit through the gift shop, where I spotted this beautiful little ceramic vase with a moorland scene. I resisted buying it, and then popped back into the city this morning to buy it.
