Grain Tower

One of those days, everywhere we tried to visit turned out to be closed! We did however enjoy a blustery walk along the coast path with views across to Sheerness. The fort originally built in the 1850s to defend against the French and upgraded for both world wars before being decommissioned in the 1950s.
