A joint concert

This is the Fenham ensemble doing a quick final rehearsal before an afternoon concert in Humshaugh.

We, the North Tyne Voices, sang three songs.

They are a "voice tested" choir and sing really well. 

We are a village choir of all comers and we sang really well for us!  We sang Billy Boy and Oh What a beautiful morning. We had rehearsed these to sing without music. It made a huge difference to our performance, although there was some intense word bashing in the half hour before the concert!

We also sang a four part version of Lord, give us Power. The Fenham Ensemble learned this specially and were not too sure about singing without music, but they survived. The sound was tremendous.

We survived singing after them and the audience was really appreciative.

There has been tennis today. I switched over to the football for the last four penalties. Phew!
