Severn Valley Railway
Took the car to Bridgnorth for new tyres & expected it to take about 30 minutes but they said it would be 2.5 hours. We went for a coffee in town & looked round the market stalls then discovered it was the 1940’s weekend at the Severn Valley Railway. We walked down to the station & watched the steam trains coming in & out. There were many people wearing 1940’s outfits & in spite of the heavy rain storms everyone was having a good time.
Eventually collected the car & came home to do my ironing, I had one eye on the football & another on the Grand Prix qualifying - both a very good result for England.
