Zaanse Schans

Today we travelled to Amsterdam where a friend and colleague collected us and took us to Zaanse Schans. She grew up here and so had additional stories to the ones we read in the fascinating museums. It was great reading a bit of history about trade and the way of life in the past. I’ve added a couple of extras including fireworks following the football win!

They took us for dinner to a restaurant in the countryside and then dropped us off at our hotel. We watched the end of the Netherlands vs Turkey match - Hup Holland Hup!
