Beside the drive

This afternoon I swept the drive to clear it of the mud, leaves and twigs that have fallen on it recently. The senior builder has intermittently used the garden hose, during the weeks they have been working, so it wasn't too bad. 

The big ponga (tree fern) in my blip appears to have grown out of a stump; perhaps halfway up the trunk there's an abrupt change in size of the trunk. 

Also, near the base of the ponga are two smaller tree ferns growing out from the base of the trunk.
