Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud
The last choral concert of our season was also the final concert with us for our music director Nick after 11+ years. It was a Jazz inspired concert ending with a performance of Flanders & Horovitz's Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo.
Appropriately for the occasion, the tune of another of Flander's collaborations, this time with Swann, Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud, (The Hippopotamus Song) was used to sing him out. It was written by 2 of our sopranos and if you look large you can see the chorus enthusiastically sung by the choir.
It was just a bit of silliness to end a successful tenure. Good luck for the future Nick!
