Antiques Roadshow

Visited the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh this morning. I did not realise that the BBC were filming Antiques Roadshow in the grounds of Dean Gallery.

So this morning I spent photographing antique experts and lots of people getting their possessions valued. After lunch at the Gallery, I headed over to Portobello, as the sun had finally come out. The beach was packed with people enjoying the sun.

My reason for visiting Edinburgh today is that I was invited by the French Consul to celebrate Bastille Day. I know it is not the 14 July, but they have moved it this year as the 14 is on a Sunday.

It has been a challenge selecting a blip today, but I have decided on this image at the Antiques Roadshow. I liked how this gentleman was on a mission to get his possessions in front of the experts, at any cost. He has swept by those attending and I love the reactions from some of those in the queue.
