Gusher

A delivery van knocked over the fire hydrant at the end of our street this morning causing rapid water accumulation and the threat of flooding to some houses. An equally rapid response brought the necessary know how to shut down the geyser fairly quickly. Under the fountain you can just make out the silhouette of the first responder trying to fit the massive wrench on the tap which is at this stage under about 10” of water. Meanwhile for the cyclist life continues almost as if nothing’s amiss.’
