What a day!
Started off at the pier in Portree in the morning - big camera, tripod, bag, stuff ..... Took loads of images of pier, people on pier, boats, drums, nets, oil terminals, flags, water, steel shapes. Was asked at one point by a bemused tourist what I was taking photos of (I had my camera pointing away from the sea/harbour/mountains). When I explained that I liked the shapes of the oil drums, he replied 'oh, so you're a serious photographer, then'
.... erm .....
Anyway, after the pier came ... another pier ... for a walk this time. Then Chrism called. We decided to go in search of trees for images. Instead we found - bits of old machinery, bits of old roads, blades of grass, mergansers, sandpipers ......
and .......
OTTERS - doing torpedo impersonations, whilst catching large fish. WOW!!!!!
Don't think I'll make a nature photographer, any more than I think I'll make a serious one :)
