Less Usual Subjects

Vile weather, cold, lots of rain then an electric storm. When the sun eventually came out after lunch I took Mishka for a nursery walk. Nice to see quite a few ringlet and meadow brown butterflies on the wing. Some large and small skippers too.

I fumbled a shot of a Spitfire but it was soft. :(

It is always interesting to shoot a creature that I have never captured before. The top image is a Verrall's spearhorn. Its larvae are associated with ant-attended aphids.

I've shot a white plume moth once before and magnificent rose chafers a few times.
