Well at least he was Surrey's second top scorer in a protracted and reduced afternoon against Kent at the Oval. A t20 match starting at 2:30pm should really be done and dusted by 5:30pm, but thanks to rain delays play didn't start until 4:55, by which point it had been reduced first to 15 and then 10 overs per side. Surrey managed a decent score of 103 for five in their allotted overs, but then a further short shower saw Kent's innings reduced to eight overs with a revised target of 87 runs to win, which in the end proved to be five runs too many.
