Slow to very slow?
A snails pace is always thought to be slow. I beg to differ.
He started sliding up the leaf about three inches below and yet by the time I had gone inside, got my camera, returned to the corner of the garden, there he was well past the leaf and on the frame heading due north!
I’ve noticed this before actually, when they are travelling across from one side of the garden path to the other. They seem to get there much quicker than you would expect.
A garden day today. Until the rain started that is. But we did manage to get everything done. Cutting back and dead heading. Planting out and dividing lots of alpines. Preparing the new barrel containers with a bottom layer of ballast for drainage.
