Bike ride

These two were awake at 6.30 (very unlike them), I convinced them to come out for a bike ride when I walked the dog - and they did. We were out by 7am and had a beautiful hour out and about. The traffic was very quiet so they could cycle on the road and I wasn't too worried about safety. 

Joth had playdates today, one went well, one a disaster as they didn't show up. The eldest had a lovely time with his friend, the youngest and I went to the park we were meeting his friend at and after an hour had a message from the mother to say she had over slept - until past 11am! The youngest was in tears and I made an excuse for him about the playdate. However, it's not the first time we've been let down and the mother is renowned for how unreliable she is. The youngest is one of three boys in his year, and so really stuggles for friends and it makes me so sad. 

We had a lovely rest of day though. I took the youngest for a drink and cake, he chose our lunch at home and all is well in his world again.
