Butterfly bush in all its glory
A plant brought in by seeds and birds grew within three year in not very fertile soil (gravel) over my head. The air smells of honey and bees, bumble bees and an occasional butterfly are feasting.
Early rise, little soak in the hot tub but chased out of that spot by very nasty insects. We call them horse flies in German and Dutch. That is new in our area. Climate change that is causing hotter summers? or a neighbor who is having horses on his property close by ours? They chased me out of my garden already last night.
Nasty pains all over the left side of my body caused me to stay mostly inactive with a warming pad in the afternoon.
We did manage a drive to downtown for a nice warm lunch though.
