Red rose day

It certainly seems like a red rose day! We didn't stay up all night to watch the election results, but I did have a sneaky peek on the iPad when I had to get up briefly at 5.00am! The future seems a bit brighter today (though the weather didn't brighten much until late evening - extra).

Very glad to see the back of the corrupt Conservative government, but somewhat perturbed at just how many people chose to vote for Reform candidates.

These are the first flowers on the 'Birthday' rose, a birthday gift at the beginning of the year.
