Thinking outside the box .........

So I took some fresh veggies down to CK this morning for Mum to have with her Steak pie which I bought yesterday morning and left in her fridge for todays lunch. I get to CK early as I want Mum to have a shower, & change the bedding before she's got dressed, & made the bed. She's washing up her breakfast dishes when I arrive at 8.10. She's not a morning person so that was a surprise, & the bed was made. Too late on both counts. Okay! Not a problem.  I left Mum to finish the dishes while I stripped her bed, then got her under the shower. I need a crash course in showering a person, especially as the shower rose has a mind of it's own. Arghhh!!! Partially wet as a result.  Left Mum to get dressed while I made her bed.  Back in the kitchen I noticed the steak pie was missing from the fridge ... ERMMMM???? "Mum, where is the steak pie?" Blank. :-(  " There was a steak pie in the fridge for your lunch today, but it's not there now" Indie is rather partial to a steak pie apparently, had it for her tea last night. I'd fed Indie at lunchtime with dog food, as you do. Meal planning, preparation, & storage for Mum is taking on a whole new dimension, & it's going to take more than a box. Plan B .... A frozen cottage pie (one I'd made earlier) came to the rescue.
