A side street in the centre of Carcasonne

Well , we arrived for our unexpected city break as we couldn’t see the family just yet ( because they all have Covid).
This is the street we’re staying in. Photo taken in the evening with a strong wind! I always wondered what was behind the front doors in a city street. This has a long corridor and three floors with one apartment on each floor . Then as we found out by coming from the third floor down the stairs there are other apartments on mezzanine levels. Very interesting!
We ate out in the square, our first two choices of restaurant were fully booked so we went to another more expensive one . We sat outside and it was very windy! The waiters were not very attentive but the food was ok. Still, it’s warm and the area has the French ambiance!
