Irises

I had a half-day today and spent the afternoon at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, with my camera, of course. They are an incredible asset for the city, and plenty city dwellers were making the most of the fabulous weather. Out of the shade of the trees, it was almost too hot for comfort. I enjoyed three and a half hours engrossed in photographing plants, of which there are a few.

These Irises are in the new garden by the equally new John Hope Gateway, which we (HLF) had a hand in funding.
