Gently down the stream

Roebuck in the rain

..well, okay, not quite in the rain, it had stopped as I went out, but the ground, vegetation and his coat were still pretty wet, as you can see here.  Still I was happy not to be splashed on as I walked, though as I got back the skies started weeping again.

I think roebucks must lead very solitary lives.  If I see this one he is always in the end of the reserve furthest away from the females - and by himself.  Still, what a beautiful boy he is..

I heard some very sad news today.  My ex-business partner, R, has just died.  We had a long and successful career together, doing PR and marketing for arts organisations, arts festivals, events, etc. (Henley Festival, Salisbury Festival, Dorset Dance Festival, Basingstoke Balloon Festival, Bournemouth Arts Festival, companies going up to Edinburgh or Brighton, re-enactment events for Broadlands, etc, etc.  We even did some work for the Hat Fair one year).  R was 10 years younger than me so continued on when I retired, but I knew she hadn't been well.  Just didn't realise quite how serious her illness was.  Pretty devastated.

Pub lunch with big sis then home again in the rain.  Depressing (the rain, that is) but I'm hoping the forecast is right and that the sun will come out by tomorrow afternoon.  Take care of yourselves, lovely people  xx
